Trillium Wellness Center’s intention is to work in partnership to create a connected and inclusive community within an environment that is welcoming, healing, and accessible to all.
Trillium Center for Yoga and Health, LLC, was founded by three yoga teachers who came together out of a mutual desire to have a dedicated space to teach yoga in Potsdam. Located in a storefront on Market Street, Trillium functioned primarily as a yoga studio with a small healing arts room. In August, 2017, Trillium moved to a much larger space in part of the Community Center owned by First Presbyterian Church, Potsdam. The new center includes four healing arts rooms, allowing practitioners to locate full and part time practices here.
Discerning the need for a more diverse, sustainable leadership structure, exploration becoming a not for profit began in 2018. On January 1, 2020, Trillium Integrative Community Wellness Center, Inc, was born. As a 501(c)(3) charity, Trillium Wellness Center has the ability to write grants, raise money for projects, and to partner with other organizations.
